Dr Brooke O’Brien is a Specialist Gynaecologist with broad experience across general gynaecology and advanced subspecialty expertise in Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG). She has trained and worked in tertiary hospitals across Australia and is well established in private specialist practice.
Dr O’Brien is one of a small number of Australian specialists with formal international fellowship training in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, having completed an International Fellowship in PAG (IFEPAG). Her clinical interests span the full spectrum of adult and adolescent gynaecological care, with a particular focus on complex menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis and the management of gynaecological conditions in adolescents.
She performs a wide range of minimally invasive and vaginal gynaecological procedures, including laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, and the assessment and management of abnormal cervical screening requiring colposcopy and LLETZ procedures, to name a few.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr O’Brien has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed research publications and has presented her work internationally.
Dr O’Brien is known for her calm, respectful and patient-centered approach to care, working collaboratively with patients, families and referring clinicians to deliver evidence-based, individualised treatment plans.
