About

Dr Chelsea Watt is a Specialist Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Sonologist with more than ten years’ experience in women’s health. Based here at John Flynn Private Hospital in Tugun on the Southern Gold Coast, Chelsea provides specialist obstetric and gynaecological care to women across the Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales.

Her background includes four years in Maternal Fetal Medicine and High-Risk Obstetrics within the local tertiary hospital, giving her significant experience in caring for women through both straightforward and more complex pregnancies. She also holds subspecialty expertise in diagnostic ultrasound, allowing imaging to be integrated directly into her clinical assessment and management across both pregnancy and gynaecological care.

Alongside obstetrics, Chelsea provides specialist gynaecological care throughout a woman’s life, with particular interests in preconception care, cervical abnormalities, abnormal uterine bleeding, menstrual concerns and menopause.

Chelsea’s approach is thoughtful, considered and deeply personalised. She believes exceptional care combines clinical excellence with continuity, genuine partnership and informed choice. She takes the time to understand each woman’s individual circumstances, priorities and previous experiences, with a particular commitment to trauma-informed care and ensuring women feel respected, involved and confident in decisions about their health.

Chelsea is the founder and director of Redefine Women’s Health, a multidisciplinary women’s health collective within the John Flynn Private Hospital precinct. Her philosophy is centred on connected, collaborative care, bringing together specialist and allied health expertise where appropriate while keeping each woman firmly at the centre of her care.

As a local mother of two, Chelsea brings a personal understanding of the many transitions that accompany pregnancy, birth and women’s health more broadly. Her aim is simple: for every woman she cares for to feel known, heard and confidently supported.
