About
Dr Ian Chan (MBBS syd, FRACS orth), was born in Singapore but has been living in Australia since he was nine years old. Dr Chan spent his early years in Beverly Hills in Sydney, then attended the University of Sydney for his Medical Degree and trained to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Liverpool Hospital and in Newcastle. He was very lucky to find himself practising here in Coffs Harbour where he has been situated for over 28 years now.
Dr Chans goal is to continue learning so that he can give everybody in Coffs Harbour the best result that we can hope for. Dr Chan is very happy that the published results in the Australian registry of orthopaedic surgery, in all years from 2016 to 2022, demonstrate that his results are superior to the averaged results of all Australian orthopaedic surgeons. He will endeavour to keep up those results as it gives me great pleasure to see my patients return with a smile on their face instead of the look of pain that they used to have.
