Dr Matthew Honoré is a General Surgeon who performs a range of general surgical procedures, with experience in bariatric (metabolic) and upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland, followed by general surgical training based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Following Fellowship, Dr Honoré undertook additional post-fellowship training focused on bariatric and upper gastrointestinal surgery, with experience gained across centres in Queensland and New South Wales. Dr Honoré’s clinical practice includes bariatric (metabolic) and upper gastrointestinal surgery, including primary and revisional procedures. He provides assessment and management of patients across the surgical pathway, including pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care. Dr Honoré is GESA-certified to perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures as part of his clinical practice.
