Dr Pearl Chung

Dr Pearl Chung is a rehabilitation medicine physician who admits for inpatient and day rehabilitation services at Mt Wilga Private Rehabilitation Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital, and consults at Westmead Private Hospital for rehabilitation referrals. She is currently a Senior Staff Specialist at the Hunter Brain Injury Service. She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2005 and a Master of Public Health at Monash University in 2013. She became a specialist in rehabilitation medicine in 2016 and was awarded her PhD in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation through the University of Melbourne in 2017. Her specialist interests are in traumatic brain and spinal injuries, concussions, and orthopaedic and general rehabilitation. Dr Chung is the Academic Representative on the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) Council and the chair of the AFRM Research Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), and is the Clinical Director for San Rehabilitation Service.
