Mr Eldon Mah

Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Eldon Mah, an Australian trained specialist plastic surgeon working in both the public and private
sectors in Melbourne. He is the founder and principal surgeon at Parkside Plastic Surgery and the Scar Clinic, and also holds an appointment as a
consultant surgeon at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

 

Under the mentorship of experienced surgeons within the major hospitals in Victoria, Eldon developed and refined his skills in all aspects of plastic surgery, with a focus on patient care. After receiving a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2010, he completed a year-long fellowship position at Toronto General Hospital in Canada in reconstructive microsurgery, focusing on reconstructive procedures for breast, sarcomas, and head and neck surgery.

 

On his return to Melbourne, Eldon has accrued over a decade of experience in reconstructive surgery. He continues to have an active role in teaching local trainees and overseas young surgeons, as well as ongoing clinical research and involvement with the University of Melbourne. He is also involved in speaking at national and international meetings.

 

Eldon works with patients undergoing surgery following cancer treatment, radiotherapy or trauma, with a focus on aesthetic and functional outcomes. Open communication is an important part of his approach to patient care and treatment.
